It’s pretty late, so this will be a quick post again…this card uses one of techniques from Day 3 of Stretch Your Stamps 2 – creating a word search with your alphabet stamps.
I first created my sentiment in Versamark ink on dark gray cardstock using the new “Back to Basics Alphabet” set from Stampin’ Up, heat embossed this in white, then stamped all of the other letters around in more Versamark, followed by heat embossing in clear. To create my ombre effect, I then blended some Black Soot Distress Ink on the lower half.
This is a better photo of the actual colors! I mounted the black panel onto some Strawberry Slush cardstock from Stampin’ Up and then onto a white cardbase. To finish it off, I inked the edges of the cardbase with Worn Lipstick Distress Ink and added a few enamel dots.
Now it’s bedtime…I hope you’ll come back tomorrow (later today) to see my project for the Silhouette blog! Thanks for stopping by!
Great take on the homework. It looks really great! Love your colour choice.
Wonderful card! Love how you took the homework inspiration & ran with it. I think this could make a great masculine card. Tfs!
