Happy holidays friends! We’re in the home stretch now, but I couldn’t let Christmas pass by without sharing one more card this year. I loved the new Twas The Night Background Stamp from Rubbernecker as soon as I saw it and wanted to create a card that conveyed that same feeling of Christmas magic as the poem. With some cute characters and a wintry background, this little holiday scene is sure to bring a smile.
- Stamp some of the characters from the Christmas Inchies Stamp Set onto white cardstock using black alcohol-friendly ink.
- Color the images in with Copic markers and cut them out using the coordinating dies.
- Using a stamp positioning tool, stamp the Twas The Night Background onto white cardstock in Whisper, Sierra, and Orchid Inks. Choose one color and ink a few areas of the background up before stamping a partial image, then go back and add another color before stamping again. Overlap the different colors to produce fun blends.
- Die cut the panel with the largest die from the Nested Deckle Rectangle Die Set.
- Ink around the edges with Orchid Ink using a blending brush for a frosty winter look.
- Die cut white cardstock twice using the second largest die from the Nested Scallop with Holes Die Set.
- Cut one of the panels again about a half inch from the bottom with one of the Tabbed Mountains Dies to form a small snowbank.
- Ink the second die-cut with Whisper, Sierra, and Orchid Inks, then place the Stars and Circles Stencil over top before inking with the same colors again to create a tone-on-tone wintry background.
- Once dry, stamp a sentiment from the Wintery Friends Stamp Set onto the stenciled panel with Versamark Ink, add white embossing powder, and melt with a heat tool.
- Die cut green cardstock with the Evergreen Tree Die.
- Ink the edges of the two smaller trees with white pigment ink to give them a soft snowy appearance.
- Adhere the script background panel to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with foam adhesive.
- Attached the snowbank to the stenciled sentiment panel with tape runner or liquid glue and then pop it up in the center of the card front with foam adhesive.
- Arrange the characters, gift, and trees on the card front and adhere down with more foam adhesive.
I hope you enjoyed this wintry cute Christmas card and thanks so much for stopping by today. Be sure to check out the Holiday Deals over at Rubbernecker for some great savings on tons of dies and stamps!
