This past fall, Rubbernecker released several new holiday dies they called “In Circle” dies. These dies cut a circular window into the front of your card with a fun scene inside of it. I loved the look and since all of the “In Circle” dies are the same size, I kept thinking they would look beautiful combined to form a layered scene. So today I’m using two of the dies with some other pretty winter scene dies to create a fun and easy tri-fold card.
- Trim two pieces of green cardstock to 5.5″ x 8.5″ and score them down the center. (I used two different shades of green to create more depth.) Trim a tiny sliver (about 1/16″) off of the left side of the front panel (bright green) and the right side of the second panel (blue green).
- Die cut the right side of the bright green cardstock with the Winter Deer In Circle Die. Die cut the left side of the blue green cardstock with the Winter Trees In Circle Die. Add greetings to both panels using the Snowmen With Presents stamp set, Versamark Ink, and gold embossing powder.
- Die cut brown cardstock with the Winter Deer In Circle Die, trim out just the deer, and adhere on top of the front panel.
- Adhere the solid panels of the bright green and blue green layers together. The die-cut panels should fold in and layer over top of each other (deer on top).
- To create the interior scene, die cut brown, white, and red cardstock with the Cabin #1 Die and assemble using liquid glue.
- Trim pieces of light blue and white cardstock to 5.5″ x 4.125″.
- Die cut the top of the white panel with the Pine Tree Forest Die. Die cut a second pine tree forest out of light teal cardstock and adhere to the back of the white panel with liquid glue, peeking out a little to create a shadow.
- Stamp the greeting from the Wintery Friends Stamp Set onto the white panel using Versamark Ink, add gold embossing powder, and melt with a heat tool.
- Adhere the layered white panel to the light blue panel with tape runner.
- Add the cabin to the winter scene with liquid glue and adhere the entire panel to the inside of the tri-fold card with tape runner.
- Fold the right side over the cabin scene first (tree design), and then the left side (deer design).
- If you don’t like the tri-fold style, you can easily use just the tree window over the winter scene or no windows at all!
I hope you enjoyed this fun and easy tri-fold winter card and thanks so much for stopping by today. Be sure to check out the latest release at Rubbernecker Stamps and visit their Facebook Fan Group for tons of inspiration!
