Welcome to the start of a fresh new week friends! Over the last few days since Thanksgiving, I have been packing up the leaves and pumpkins around the house and bringing out the sparkly and snowy decor. And with our first possible (small) snowstorm coming today in my neck of the woods, I thought there was no better time to share a cute winter card made with stamps and dies from Rubbernecker.
The beautiful Diamond With Holes Cover Die reminded me of an old, ornate window and I thought it would look great in front of a frosty winter scene. With a few die-cuts and a cute kitty to complete the scene, this fun snowy card is perfect for sending warm wishes this season.
- Stamp the Winter Cat With Hat image onto white cardstock using black alcohol-friendly ink.
- Color the image in with Copic markers and cut it out using the coordinating die.
- Trim a piece of white cardstock to 4.25″ x 5.5″. Stamp the Splatter Background onto the panel with Versamark Ink, add white embossing powder, and melt with a heat tool.
- Once cool, apply Sonata, Sierra, Serene, and Sapphire Inks over the embossed image from the bottom of the panel to the top using a blending brush.
- Die cut white cardstock with the Diamond With Holes Cover Die, Pine Tree Forest Die, and Winter Snowmen Die.
(Note: You could use a small circle die to create the moon in this scene, but I chose the large snowball die-cut from the Winter Snowmen Die because I had it nearby and love finding ways to stretch my supplies.
- Trim the Pine Tree Forest die-cut down with scissors to fit behind the window die-cut.
- Stamp a sentiment from the Snowmen With Presents Stamp Set onto white cardstock using Dreamer Ink.
- Cut the sentiment out using one of the small windows from the Window With Pierce Die.
- Adhere the snowy background panel to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with tape runner.
- Add the Pine Tree Forest and moon directly to the background panel with liquid glue.
- Adhere the Diamond With Holes Cover die-cut on top of the card front with foam adhesive.
- Pop the kitty image and sentiment up on top with more foam adhesive.
I hope you enjoyed this sweet winter kitty card and thanks so much for stopping by today. Don’t forget to check out the Black Friday Clearance Sale at Rubbernecker before it ENDS TONIGHT…tons of discounted stamps, dies, and bundles are marked down to insane prices!
