Even though we had a very mild winter in my neck of the woods, I was soooo ready to welcome Spring this past weekend. As an official gesture of my appreciation, I made this cute bendi card to send to my niece using my Silhouette CAMEO and stamps from Pink & Main.
The card template (design #53881) is a simple sloped design that, once cut and assembled (instructions found here), can be embellished in different ways to create a ton of different looks. I chose to make mine into a hilly springtime landscape to which I added images from the “Easter Street” stamp set, a sentiment from the “Spring Train” set, and clouds cut with the “Sweet Dreams Baby Dies“. Images were colored with my Copic markers.
If you’ve never made a bendi card before, they’re a lot of fun! Each layer has a tab that fits into a slot on the layer behind it so that the pieces dome out and create three-dimensional scenes that can stand up on their own.
However, the card can still be mailed in a regular envelope…all you do is pull the tabs out and include simple assembly instructions for the recipient if you think they’ll need them.
I hope you enjoyed this quick springtime card project and thanks for stopping by today!
Thank you for including links for the design and tutorial. Lovely card!
Thanks so much Gail…and you’re welcome! 🙂
