I don’t know about you, but Christmas cardmaking is still in full-swing at my house. It’s not that I’m a procrastinator…it’s just hard for me to get in the Christmas spirit when there are still leaves on the trees around me. Truth be told, it’s going to be in the mid-70s where I live this weekend, but at least the leaves are down now (mostly)!
The inspiration for this card was 100% that gorgeous image…”Home from Home” from the A Little Bit Festive Collection by Sheena Douglass. I’ve had this stamp set for a while now but never inked it up, so I thought it was time!
I stamped the image in Versafine Onyx Black ink onto some Crafter’s Companion Watercolor Cardstock, covered it in clear embossing powder, and melted it with my heat gun. Then I applied color directly to the paper with my Spectrum Aqua markers (colors listed below) and blended them out with my waterbrush. The blue highlights that I added to the snow were diluted first in a palette and added with a brush to maintain a bit of subtlety.
After matting both my image and sentiment with some navy blue cardstock, I popped them up over a sheet of patterned paper from the Festive Wonder 6″ x 6″ paper pad. A rustic bow made from some thick natural jute finished off my card.
One more Christmas card done…only a dozen or so more to go! Thanks for stopping by today and I would love to hear your comments!

Your card is lovely! It brings back memories of my time in England. TFS!
Thanks so much Kris!
