Welcome to the weekend friends! I am excited to be back today to share a couple of projects made with the new Timeless Collection from Spellbinders (check out the rest of the May release here…there’s some beautiful stuff this month!). This collection contains ornate die sets, gorgeous BetterPress sentiments, and fun 3D butterfly stickers perfect for creating feminine and pretty cards for tons of occasions.
SOFT & PRETTY BIRTHDAY CARD
The Timeless 5×7 Cardfront Die Set is exactly what it sounds like – a huge die set that creates a gorgeous, ornate A7 card front perfect for any kind of occasion. I started by cutting white and Mirror Gold Cardstock using the outline and frame insert dies in the set and layered them over a 5″ x 7″ white card base that I had blended a soft rainbow over with Spun Sugar, Squeezed Lemonade, and Tumbled Glass Distress Inks. I blended the same colors over that oval die-cut (cut using the same die set) and added the oval frame insert on top cut from Mirror Gold Cardstock again.
The sentiment was pressed onto Porcelain Cotton Cardstock in BetterPress Black Ink using the Always You Timeless Sentiments Press Plate Set and my BetterPress System (check out that gorgeous font!) and then cut out using the label insert from the Timeless 5×7 Cardfront Die Set. Once I had adhered the oval and sentiment in the center of the card with foam adhesive, I added two beautiful butterflies from the Moonlight Butterfly Sticker Pack to embellish.
ORNATE THANK YOU CARD
Next I combined the other two die sets in the collection to create a simple and pretty thank you card. I started by trimming a piece of Fruit Punch Cardstock to 4.125″ x 5.375″. Then I die cut Pink Sand Cardstock several times using the Timeless Hearts Border Die and adhered it all the way down the panel with liquid glue before trimming off any overhanging bits with a pair of scissors. This panel was matted with Onyx Cardstock and adhered to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with tape runner.
The sentiment was pressed onto Porcelain Cotton Cardstock in BetterPress Black Ink using the New Beginnings Timeless Sentiments Press Plate Set and my BetterPress System and then cut out using one of the Fresh Picked Labels Dies (sneak peek, available soon!). I die cut Pink Sand and Fruit Punch Cardstock using one of the dies from the Timeless Duo Die Set and layered them a bit offset before adhering around the sentiment with liquid glue. After matting the sentiment panel with Onyx Cardstock, I popped it up in the center of the card with foam adhesive. To finish off the card, I added a few Crystal Mix Gems and another beautiful butterfly from the Moonlight Butterfly Sticker Pack.
