Welcome to the weekend friends! I’m excited to be back today to share a couple of projects made with the new Stampendous Hugs Collection from Spellbinders. (Check out the entire June release here…so much good stuff!) This collection contains tons of adorable dies and stamps that help you create cute critters hugging each other or a wide variety of accessories along with tons of charming sentiments. I used two of the new sets to make this sweet bear hugs card, but be sure to check out the additional samples using this collection below.
I started by cutting the two bears out of Dune Cardstock using the Stampendous Bear Hugs Die Set. After stamping the face on the little bear and the paw pads on the big bear using the Stampendous Bear Hugs Face & Sentiments Stamp Set, I assembled them with liquid glue and blended some Tea Dye and Vintage Photo Distress Ink around the edges. Then I cut the heart and honey pot out of pink and yellow cardstocks using the Stampendous Bear Hugs Die Set and arranged the die-cuts into a cut scene. The background was created with a piece of patterned paper from the Bee Happy 6×6 Paper Pad that I inked around the edges with Salty Ocean Distress Ink for some depth and matted with Onyx Cardstock. To finish off the card, I stamped a sentiment from the Bear Hugs Faces & Sentiments Stamp Set onto Onyx Cardstock using Versamark Ink and embossed it with white embossing powder.
And here are three more projects I created with this fun collection!
- The first card uses the Stampendous Kitty Hugs Die Set and Stampendous Kitty Hugs Face & Sentiments Stamp Set on top of some patterned paper from the Retro Summer 6×8 Paper Pad.
- Next, I created a slimline card front with windows using the Fran’s Frames Die Set followed by embossing with the new Tiny Dots Embossing Folder (I’ve been waiting for a large format “swiss dots” folder to come out for what seems like forever!). Then I added some small bears from the Stampendous Bear Hugs Die Set and a sentiment from the Bear Hugs Faces & Sentiments Stamp Set.
- Lastly, I used the Stampendous Puppy Hugs Die Set to assemble this adorable dog clutching a mini envelope and note cut using the Stampendous Hugs Accessories Die Set and stamped with the Stampendous Hugs Sentiments Stamp Set. The background is just a piece of patterned paper from the Our Story Matters 6×6 Paper Pad and a white panel cut with the Fluted Classics Rectangles Die Set.
