October Club Kits are here from Spellbinders and you’re going to love how unique they are! This month’s Small Die of the Month Kit, Fall Leaves Card Creator, includes all the dies you need to cut a complete leafy card border, nearly a dozen separate leaves with embossed details, and three beautiful sentiments. Using a bright fall color palette, I created a thank you card with tons of layers and shine.
I cut all of the tiny leaves on my card using the two dies in the kit and white cardstock. Then I quickly added splotches of red, orange, yellow, green, and brown to all of the die-cuts with Copic markers. This step goes faster than you think, because you really don’t need to be very precise!
The border elements and sentiment were cut out of both Metallic Bronze Cardstock and Copper Kraft Cardstock. To create the border, I adhered the bronze die-cuts on top of the copper die-cuts with liquid glue, offsetting them just a bit for a flash of shine. I did the opposite with the sentiment, using the bronze layer as a shadow for the copper sentiment. Although a bit intricate, this card went together more quickly than you’d think as I got into a rhythm with my tweezers and fine-tip glue pen!
