Have you seen the latest Small Die of the Month Kit from Spellbinders? “Lovely Card Creator” is a gorgeous set of 4 dies that does exactly what it says – creates a lovely card in minutes! I used traditional colors and a few embellishments for this super intricate but easy valentine.
The dies in this set are so well-thought out…when you use them all together like I did, it’s so easy to create a pretty card that looks like it took forever to make. But each piece also functions well on its own too, so the possibilities are really endless. I cut white cardstock with the largest die in the kit, red cardstock with the center panel, and pink cardstock with the two heart dies (you can also use the heart edge die to cut a solid layer to place beneath the detail layer, but I didn’t need to for this card).
I adhered each layer together with foam adhesive for tons of dimension and popped it all up on top of a top-folding A2-sized kraft card base. For my sentiment, I stamped the tiny Valentine greeting from this month’s Clear Stamp of the Month Kit onto white cardstock with red ink and trimmed it out with scissors. To embellish, I added a flower and leafy branches cut with some of the dies in this month’s Large Die of the Month Kit and applied rhinestones to all of the flower centers for a little shine.
