Spellbinders October 2024 Club Kits

Hello again friends!  It’s been a minute hasn’t it?  Thank you for sticking with me while I take a little time off to deal with some family health issues.  I’ll be getting back into things pretty slowly and today I wanted to share some projects made with the October 2024 Club Kits from Spellbinders.  There are tons of adorable holiday designs this month and I’ll be featuring the Large Die of the Month, Small Die of the Month, Stitching Die of the Month, Clear Stamp of the Month Kit, Embossing Folder of the Month, 3D Embossing Folder of the Month, Clear Stamp & Die of the Month Kits, Stencil of the Month Kit, and even this month’s Bonus Item (comes with purchase of the Deluxe Caboodle Club) in just four card projects!

SMALL DIE OF THE MONTH

This month’s Small Die of the Month Kit, “Festive Friends“, is perfect for adorable holiday cards.  The kit contains 17 cutting dies that allow you to cut a large bear being decorated as a Christmas tree by his sweet penguin friend.   I used the dies in the kit to create a colorful scene and added cute plaid accessories to the animals using papers from the Simple Vintage Holly Jolly Collection.

The background was created by embossing a piece of Glacier Cardstock using this month’s Embossing Folder of the Month, “Checkered Argyle” (a pretty and subtle pattern perfect for cards year-round!).  After assembling the scene, I added some sparkly accents by coloring the glitter cardstock from the Silver Treasured Cardstock Pack with different Copic markers.  To finish the card off, I added a sweet sentiment from this month’s Clear Stamp of the Month Kit.

LARGE DIE OF THE MONTH

This month’s Large Die of the Month Kit, “Cozy Toes Slippers“, is a huge set of 20 dies that can be used to build five different types of fun slippers and add them to a pair of pajama-wearing legs.  I used the dies in the set to make this sweet mini slimline card, adding just a couple of cute critter faces to my card front rather than slippers.  The animals were cut out of pastel colors of cardstock for soft wintry feel.

To create the background, I trimmed a piece of white cardstock to 3″ x 6″ before embossing it with this month’s 3D Embossing Folder of the Month, “Joyful Candy Canes“, and adding it to a top-folding white card base measuring 3.5″ x 6.5”.  After adhering the critters to the card front, I added a sentiment pressed in BetterPress Black Ink using this month’s Bonus Item, the “Fuzzy Feelings” BetterPress Plate Set (free with a Deluxe Caboodle Subscription!).

STITCHING DIE OF THE MONTH

This month’s Stitching Die of the Month continues with the fun holiday theme of course!  “Merry & Bright Cloche“, is a set of 13 dies that cuts a fun snowglobe-like design you can stitch as well as two different sentiments.  I cut all of my pieces out of white cardstock, shaded them with Distress Oxide Inks, and then stitched everything up using gold metallic thread for a classic and colorful look.

To assemble the card, I trimmed some plaid paper from the Simple Vintage Holly Jolly Paper Pad to 4″ x 5.25″, matted it with Mirror Gold Cardstock, and adhered it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base.  Then I popped my stitched holiday cloche up on top with foam adhesive.  I love how simple and pretty this turned out!

CLEAR STAMP & DIE OF THE MONTH KIT

This month’s Clear Stamp of the Month Kit, “Holiday Besties” is a set of 7 stamps with even more adorable holiday critters as well as five sweet coordinating sentiments.  If your subscription includes the coordinating dies, you’ll also get 9 dies to cut all of the images and sentiments out.  I stamped three of the critter images from the kit onto white cardstock and colored them with Copic markers before cutting them out using the coordinating dies to create this cute winter card for a friend.

The background was created by blending red and green inks through this month’s Stencil of the Month Kit, “Baubles & Festive Background“.  I then cut a grounding panel out of white cardstock using the Emerald Cut Labels & Tag Die Set, stamped a greeting from the stamp set into the top corner, and tied a little bow in the opposite corner out of twine.  Once adhered, I popped the colored critters up on top with foam adhesive to finish off the card.
