Happy first day of June friends! It’s reveal day for the June Club Kits from Spellbinders and I think you are going to love the beautiful scene-building designs this month. Today I’m sharing two fun summer cards made with the Large Die of the Month, Small Die of the Month, and Clear Stamp of the Month Kits because they all coordinate so beautifully this time.
This month’s Small Die of the Month Kit, “Colorblock Landscape“, is a really unique die set that can build a beautiful scene on your card in minutes. Perfect for desert, mountain, or even Martian landscapes, the sun (or moon) also coordinates with many of the gorgeous sentiments in this month’s Clear Stamp of the Month Kit, “Circle of Sunshine“.
I used my kit to cut coral, pink, and purple cardstocks from my stash for a bright desert sunrise scene. I backed each die-cut with a piece of Mirror Gold Cardstock as well to give it the look of a golden reflection. The birds and sun were stamped onto a top-folding A2-sized cream card base and coral cardstock using Versafine Clair Chianti Ink and the Clear Stamp of the Month Kit.
I added my landscape layers to the card front, alternating liquid glue and foam adhesive for some fun dimension. Then I tucked a few purple cacti into the scene to finish off this bright and simple card.
This month’s Large Die of the Month Kit, “Colorblock Circles & Stripes“, is so much fun! With tons of elements to create amazing abstract designs, the possibilities are virtually endless. I couldn’t help but see rainbows in those half circle die-cuts, so I created a bright slimline friendship card with tons of dimension.
Here’s a peek at the kit contents…I cut the long stripes out of white cardstock and layered them on top of a piece of Mirror Gold Cardstock to create the center panel of the card. The squiggle design was cut from Mirror Gold Cardstock and I used the half-circle die to cut rainbows out of Poppy Field, Persimmon, Beeswax, Rainforest, Waterfall, and Lilac Blossom Cardstock.
To create the rainbow circles, I die cut plain circles and concentric circles out of white cardstock using the kit and adhered them together before adding each rainbow arch to the top with liquid glue. After adding the striped background to a top-folding slimline-sized card base with foam adhesive, I adhered the squiggles down with liquid glue and popped the rainbow circles up in the center with foam adhesive.
To finish the card off, I stamped one of the beautiful sentiments from the Clear Stamp of the Month Kit onto white cardstock with Versamark Ink, added gold embossing powder, and melted it with my heat tool. Then I trimmed it out into a long strip and adhered it in the center of the card with more foam adhesive.
I hope you enjoyed these simple and graphic cards and thanks so much for stopping by today. You can subscribe to any of the Spellbinders Clubs now and never miss a fun kit like these again!
