Happy first day of April friends! It’s reveal day for the April Club Kits from Spellbinders and I think you are going to love the beautiful designs this month. Today I’m sharing three simple and cheerful cards made with both the Large Die of the Month and Clear Stamp of the Month Kits because they coordinate so beautifully.
This month’s Large Die of the Month Kit, “Universal Curved Border Set“, is a huge set that contains 11 dies that can be used to cut both simple and ornate borders for cards sized all the way up to slimline as well as some extra pretty floral accent pieces. I used two of the border dies to cut both white and gold cardstock measuring 8.25″ wide to create this bright slimline card.
To create the bright rainbow background, I blended Festive Berries, Carved Pumpkin, Squeezed Lemonade, Mowed Lawn, Salty Ocean, and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Ink over a piece of white cardstock measuring 8.25″ x 3.25″ with foam blending tools. After matting this panel with black cardstock, I adhered it to a top-folding slimline-sized white card base.
I stamped a curved greeting from the Clear Stamp of the Month Kit onto the die-cut white panel in black ink and then adhered it on top of the gold die-cut panel with liquid glue, offsetting it slightly to give it a gold shadow. Then I popped some of the flowers and leaves from the kit into the corner to embellish.
The April 2021 Clear Stamp of the Month Kit is a fun and versatile stamp set with images and sentiments perfect for a variety of occasions. I used the curvy floral vine image along with some of the border dies from the Large Die of the Month Kit to make these two simple and pretty cards.
The flower bunches are super easy to line up over the vine image from the kit, so I had fun experimenting with a couple different color combinations. After stamping the vine in the center of several white panels measuring 4.25″ x 5.5″, I stamped a sentiment in black ink above and die cut them just beneath with the pierced and scalloped curved border dies.
I liked how this woodgrain patterned paper from my stash complemented the colors on this panel, so I adhered it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base. Then I tied a bow of natural twine around the stamped panel and popped it up on top using foam adhesive.
This card is a little more feminine with a purple card front embossed using the Simply Perfect Florets Embossing Folder. After adhering the stamped panel on top with foam adhesive, I added a few iridescent rhinestones to embellish as well.
I hope you enjoyed these simple and cheerful cards and thanks so much for stopping by today. You can subscribe to any of the Spellbinders Clubs now and never miss a gorgeous kit like these again!
