Happy July friends! It’s reveal day for the July 2022 Club Kits from Spellbinders and there are so many unique and fun designs this month! Today I’m sharing nine card projects featuring the Large Die of the Month, Small Die of the Month, Glimmer Kit of the Month, Clear Stamp of the Month Kit, Embossing Folder of the Month, Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month, Card Kit of the Month, and Clear Stamp & Die of the Month Kits.
LARGE DIE OF THE MONTH
This month’s Large Die of the Month Kit, “Food Truck“, is a huge set of 16 dies that can be used to create a fun food truck scene perfect for summer cards. You can piece together an ice cream or taco truck, but I was hungry for tacos when I created this bright card.
The truck design was cut from Rainforest, Mirror Silver, Onyx, Persimmon, and white cardstock and assembled with liquid glue. I added that delicious-looking taco on top, cut from Beeswax, Poppy Field, Rainforest, and Timber Cardstock.
The perfect sentiments were stamped and die cut in black ink using this month’s Clear Stamp of the Month Kit. After adding a piece of ombre patterned paper from my stash to an A2-sized card base, I adhered everything down with foam adhesive and embellished with Peach Opalescent Sequins.
SMALL DIE OF THE MONTH
And if you’re looking to create a card that screams summer even more, this month’s Small Die of the Month Kit, “Day At The Beach”, contains 15 dies that allow you to cut a fun beach scene along with some really cute summertime accessories (that could be used on their own as well!). I added my die-cut scene made with the kit to a fun ink-blended background for this pretty hello card.
I die cut all of the parts from the kit using Wild Berry, Mirror Gold, Onyx, Cosmic Sky, Waterfall, Barely Peach, and white cardstock and pieced them together with liquid glue. The birds in the scene were cut from white cardstock using the Build A Summer Birdhouse Die Set.
To create the background, I masked off three sections on a piece of white cardstock with Post-It Tape and applied Distress Oxide Inks with a blending tool. The sky was created by blending Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean, the sea was created by blending Salvaged Patina and Peacock Feathers followed by flicking water droplets on top. and the sand was created by applying Antique Linen over the entire section and flicking watered-down Gathered Twigs and Ground Espresso Ink on top. Crystal Mix Gems were added to embellish.
GLIMMER KIT OF THE MONTH
This month’s Glimmer Kit of the Month is a really interesting one you can use in so many different ways! “Add A Stripe of Color” contains one Glimmer background plate and one coordinating die that can be used together or separately to create tons of different striped backgrounds for any kind of card.
I applied Gold Hot Foil a couple of times to a piece of white cardstock using the background plate in the kit. Then I cut Cosmic Sky, Teal Topaz, and Waterfall Cardstock using the coordinating die and added those between the foiled stripes on the panel with liquid glue. Once finished, I trimmed the panel down to 3.5″ x 4.75″ and added it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with foam adhesive.
The sentiment was cut from white and Mirror Gold Cardstock and the leafy accents were cut from Waterfall and Cosmic Sky Cardstock using this month’s Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month. To finish the card off, I added a few Fashion Gold Embellishments.
CLEAR STAMP & DIE OF THE MONTH KIT
This month’s Clear Stamp of the Month Kit is a must-have for summer too! “Have A Chill Summer” is a fun set of 21 stamps with yummy layered popsicle and fruit designs along with a ton of really unique sentiments. If your subscription includes the coordinating dies, you’ll also get 16 dies to cut the images and sentiments out.
I stamped my popsicles in red and blue ink (blotting the edges of the ink with a baby wipe to smooth the transition to white) and added a layered stick to the bottom with liquid glue. The strawberries, blueberries, and sentiment were stamped and die cut using the kit as well.
After trimming a piece of Waterfall Cardstock to 4″ x 5.25″, I embossed it using this month’s Embossing Folder of the Month and added it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with foam adhesive. Then I added the images and sentiment to the card front with more foam adhesive and embellished with Silver Mix Gems.
EMBOSSING FOLDER OF THE MONTH
Speaking of this month’s Embossing Folder of the Month, “Geometric Stripes“, is a fun and super versatile addition to your oversized folder collection. Its simple geometric design is reminiscent of a beach towel or cover-up but also just a classic design, so it works on all kinds of cards!
For a super bright summertime card, I trimmed a piece of Peridot Cardstock to 4.125″ x 5.375″ and embossed it with the Geometric Stripes Embossing Folder before adhering it to a white card base with tape runner. Then I cut three fun ice cream cones using this month’s Large Die of the Month Kit and added them across the middle with foam adhesive.
The sentiment was stamped in Versafine Clair Pinecone Ink onto white cardstock using the Clear Stamp of the Month Kit and added beneath the yummy cones with foam adhesive. Green Color Essentials Gems were added to embellish this simple and fun card.
AMAZING PAPER GRACE DIE OF THE MONTH
And how beautiful is this month’s Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month?! The “Tiara Trifold” die set contains 13 dies that can be used to cut gorgeous trifold card base as well as decorative layers, floral accessories, and even a sentiment. I created a simpler, shaped bifold card base with mine, but you can also add the pretty layers to a normal A2-sized card base if you want.
I know this may be a strange color combo for a summertime card…but I had just celebrated my daughter’s 4th birthday when I made this and “Frozen” was the theme of the party so I had Elsa on the mind! I cut the card base out of Raindrop Cardstock and the layers and embellishments out of white, Glacier, Purple Mist, and silver glitter cardstock.
Once fully assembled, I added tons and tons of Crystal Mix Gems to really drive the tiara idea home. I love how soft and pretty this turned out!
CARD KIT OF THE MONTH
Lastly, this month’s Card Kit of the Month, “Under The Sea Magic” is full of beautiful images of mystical creatures, pretty sentiment stamps, and a super cute die set that cuts mermaids, seaweed, seashorses, and more! I created three cards with many of the elements in the kit, but could have easily made a ton more!
This first card is mainly composed of patterned paper and die-cut images from the kit. For the background, though, I added some pretty stars on a piece of purple cardstock using gold metallic ink and the stamp set in the kit.
The die-cuts and patterned paper are so gorgeous in this kit that I created another card using mainly these elements. I added some chipboard sentiments and pretty gold sparkle jewels to finish it off.
Lastly, I used the die set in the kit to cut tons of sea creatures out of Mirror Gold and purple cardstock and assembled a magical scene on top of some of the patterned paper. After popping up an oversized sentiment on top, I added a few more sparkly gems to embellish.
I hope you enjoyed these fun summertime card projects and thanks so much for stopping by today. You can subscribe to any of the Spellbinders Clubs now and never miss a great kit like these again!
