LARGE DIE OF THE MONTH
This month’s Large Die of the Month Kit, “Dancin’ Hoppy Bunnies Everywhere“, is a huge set of 35 dies that can be used to build sweet bunnies that you can dress up in several ways as well as a bunch of accessories like Easter eggs, carrots, and flowers. I used the dies in the set to build a little boy and girl bunny sharing treats for this adorable spring card.
After dressing my bunnies up in outfits like my two kids used to wear, I gave them treats to exchange with each other and cut one of the two sentiment banners in the kit out of some white cardstock. The background is a panel of Glacier cardstock that has been embossed with this month’s 3D Embossing Folder of the Month.
SMALL DIE OF THE MONTH
This month’s Small Die of the Month Kit, “Step Into Spring“, is another kit with a unique play on shoes and perfect for springtime cards. The kit contains 17 cutting dies that allow you to cut a stunning pair of Mary Janes as well as tons of beautiful wildflowers to embellish them. I used the dies in the kit to create a sweet spring card with lots of color.
I wanted my Mary Janes to be patent leather, so I colored some yupo paper with two shades of pink Copic markers before cutting the different pieces out. A piece of soft plaid patterned paper and a sentiment foiled in gold using this month’s Glimmer Kit of the Month finish off this fun card.
CLEAR STAMP & DIE OF THE MONTH KIT
This month’s Clear Stamp of the Month Kit, “Spring Smiles” is a set of 12 stamps with adorable bunny, chick, and floral images as well as 6 pretty sentiments. If your subscription includes the coordinating dies, you’ll also get 8 dies to cut the images out. I stamped the two bunny images from the kit onto a piece of white cardstock and colored them with Copic markers to create this simple and pretty Easter card.
To create the background of the card, I started by adding a little white satin ribbon around the center of a piece of patterned paper before adhering it to a white card base. Then I cut white cardstock using one of the Perfect Touch Arches (coming soon!) before blending a little Salty Ocean and Mowed Lawn Distress Ink around the edges and stamping a sentiment from the kit on top. I love this easy and sweet card!
STITCHING DIE OF THE MONTH
This month’s Stitching Die of the Month is another great basic shape set! “Stitched Scallop Card Front & Tag“ is a set of 5 dies that cut two stitched-border rectangles along with their nesting layers as well as a sweet stitched tag. I cut the largest frame from the kit out of pink cardstock and stitched it up with a pink and coral variegated thread to create this sweet Easter card.
Once stitched, I cut the inner layer from white cardstock and adhered these to a top-folding A2-sized white card base. The bunny painting her eggs is all made with this month’s Large Die of the Month Kit and I added a sentiment foiled in gold using this month’s Glimmer Kit of the Month.
GLIMMER KIT OF THE MONTH
Speaking of the Glimmer Kit of the Month, “Spring Canopy” contains 5 Glimmer plates that can be used to foil a gorgeous leafy background as well as four pretty sentiments. Three included dies cut along the edge of the leafy background and around the larger sentiments. I applied Lavender Petal Hot Foil to Royal Amethyst cardstock using the background plate (twice) and one of the sentiments from the kit for this bold monochromatic spring card.
To assemble the card, I embossed a piece of the same purple cardstock using this month’s Embossing Folder of the Month and added it to a white card base. Then I popped the two leafy borders up on the top and bottom of the card front and added the sentiment in the center. Purple gems were used to embellish.
EMBOSSING FOLDER OF THE MONTH
This month’s Embossing Folder of the Month…“Wicker Basket“ is a subtle geometric pattern perfect for springtime cards and everyday cards! Here I embossed some Dune cardstock using the folder to create a cute springtime card.
I added the smaller stitched frame from this month’s Stitching Die of the Month to the card front (stitched with the same thread as above) as well as the coordinating layer that I inked before stamping a sentiment on the bottom (from this month’s Clear Stamp of the Month). The large chick is this month’s bonus item (available only if you subscribe to the Deluxe Caboodle Club!) and I added his little friend from this month’s Large Die of the Month.
3D EMBOSSING FOLDER OF THE MONTH
This month’s 3D Embossing Folder of the Month, “Petite Bow” is another beautiful and versatile design that is sure to become a staple in my craftroom! I used the folder to just emboss a piece of white cardstock as a background because the design is so stunning left as-is.
I cut the eggs out of white cardstock using this month’s Large Die of the Month and blended a variety of Distress Oxide Inks on top before adhering them to the front of the card with foam adhesive (the center egg got a bow of gold twine for just a little something extra). To finish off the card, I added another sentiment from this month’s Clear Stamp of the Month.
STENCIL OF THE MONTH
This month’s Stencil of the Month, “Nature’s Canvas” is a set of 5 A2 background layering stencils that creates a gorgeous floral background perfect for spring cards! I used the stencils to apply several bright Distress Inks to white cardstock for this pretty springtime card.
Once stenciled, I fussy-cut off the top of the white cardstock and added it on top of a piece of Waterfall Cardstock that I had embossed with this month’s Embossing Folder of the Month. To finish off this simple card, I added a sentiment from this month’s Glimmer Kit of the Month foiled in gold.
BETTERPRESS OF THE MONTH
This month’s BetterPress of the Month Kit, “Luxe Damask“, contains 4 press plates that create a beautiful background as well as three pretty sentiments with coordinating dies. The background can be lined up using the included registration guide to cover the entire background of a card like I did here, inking with Taffy, Tiger, Laurel, and Hydrangea BetterPress Inks.
I trimmed the pressed panel down and matted it with black cardstock before adding it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base. Then I used one of the sentiments from the kit to press a quick “thank you” in black before cutting it with the coordinating die and adding it to the front of the card. Crystal Mix Gems were used to embellish.
WAX SEAL OF THE MONTH
And finally, here is a look at this month’s Wax Seal of the Month Kit. The “Lush Leaf” Wax Seal contains one oval wax seal stamp as well as some Fern Wax Beads. I pressed the design into melted Fern Wax Beads and highlighted the raised areas with a gold metallic marker for this pretty wax seal.
I took some of the wildflowers from this month’s Small Die of the Month to create a cute floral bouquet behind my seal and added it all on top of a piece of white cardstock embossed with this month’s 3D Embossing Folder of the Month. To finish off the card I added a tiny sentiment from the Ideal Moments Press Plate & Die Set foiled in gold.
I hope you enjoyed these cute springtime card projects and thanks so much for stopping by today. You can subscribe to any of the Spellbinders Clubs starting on the 6th of the month and never miss a great kit like these again!
