Spellbinders Fave 2023 Holiday Products Blog Hop

Choosing a favorite holiday product from Spellbinders this year is nearly impossible, but the Bibi’s Snowflakes Collection was so gorgeous it’s definitely at the top of my list.  I created two frosty holiday cards using some of the products from the collection perfect for sending winter kisses and snowflake wishes.

FROSTY SNOWFLAKE SHAPED CARD

Nothing’s more impressive than a huge snowflake-shaped card with tons of intricate details!  I cut a shaped base out of folded white cardstock using the Snowflake Card Creator Die Set and topped it with a background layer cut from Cosmic Sky Cardstock.  The intricate snowflake layer was then cut from Brushed White Cardstock for a little shimmer.

To keep the card frosty, I added flowers and greenery cut from Waterfall, Teal Topaz, Lagoon, and Mirror Silver Cardstock.  The sentiment was stamped in blue ink and cut out of white and Mirror Silver Cardstock using the Snowflake Wishes Stamp & Die Set.  To finish off the card, I added some Crystal Mix Gems.

FROSTY FOILED SNOWFLAKE CARD

Not wanting to stop there, I also made a matching frosty foiled card using the Glimmering Snowflakes Foil Plate & Die Set.  I started by applying Skybright, Silver, and Cobalt Hot Foil to white cardstock using the foil plate in the set, then cut all of them out using the coordinating die.  After embossing a piece of Cosmic Sky Cardstock with the Peppermint Stripes Embossing Folder, I added the snowflakes across the panel with foam adhesive and trimmed off any overhanging die-cuts with scissors.

The panel was matted with Mirror Silver Cardstock and added to a top-folding A2-sized white card base.  To finish off the card, I stamped a greeting in blue ink using the Snowflake Wishes Stamp & Die Set and cut the layers out of white, Mirror Silver, and Cosmic Sky Cardstock (for a shadow effect).
