Happy December friends! The December 2023 Club Kits from Spellbinders have been revealed and there are tons of designs celebrating love and Valentine’s Day this month! Today I’m sharing eight card projects featuring the Large Die of the Month, Small Die of the Month, Glimmer Kit of the Month, Clear Stamp of the Month Kit, Embossing Folder of the Month, 3D Embossing Folder of the Month, Clear Stamp & Die of the Month Kits, BetterPress of the Month Kit, and the BRAND NEW Stencil of the Month Kit! (I haven’t had time to stitch up this month’s Stitching Die of the Month yet but will give you a peek now and come back later with inspiration!).

LARGE DIE OF THE MONTH
This month’s Large Die of the Month Kit, “Cheers To Us“, is a HUGE set of 18 dies that can be used to create a large bottle of champagne or wine and both a wine glass or champagne glass. I used the set to make this pretty anniversary card, but you can use it for any kind of celebratory occasion!
I starting by cutting and assembling the champagne bottle and glass, adding Mirror Gold and Mirror Red Cardstock accents to make them extra fancy. To create the background, I trimmed a piece of Tropical Punch Cardstock to 4.75″ x 6.75″, embossed it with this month’s Embossing Folder of the Month, and adhered it to a top-folding A7-sized white card base. To give the bottle and glass a place to sit, I added a simple strip of Dune Cardstock, then finished off the card with a sentiment foiled in gold using the Sentiments For Everyday Glimmer Plate Set.
SMALL DIE OF THE MONTH
This month’s Small Die of the Month Kit, “Sneaking A Kiss“, is a super cute set perfect for Valentine’s Day, wedding, or general love cards. The kit contains 9 cutting dies that allow you to cut a sweet couple under an umbrella (her legs swing back and forth!) as well as some sentiments and hearts on a string. I added just one of the sentiment strips behind my couple for this adorable Valentine’s Day card.
I started by creating a background scene out of patterned paper from the Love Notes 6×6 Paper Pad and a strip of gray cardstock stamped with a sentiment from this month’s Clear Stamp of the Month Kit. Then I cut the umbrella and couple out of colors pulled from the paper pad as inspiration. I added a single sentiment strip behind the umbrella for the finishing touch.
STITCHING DIE OF THE MONTH
This month’s Stitching Die of the Month is so pretty with multiple ways to build a stitched floral background! “Stitched Love“, is a set of 13 dies that cuts a scalloped background panel, stitched sentiment, and tons of stitched florals. I haven’t had a chance to stitch mine up yet, but will be back soon with inspiration for this one!
3D EMBOSSING FOLDER OF THE MONTH
This month’s 3D Embossing Folder of the Month, “Two Hearts As One”, is really unique…it embosses two full A2-sized card fronts with two different designs! One is this pretty lattice with a floral heart in the center, while the other is a fun floral background surrounding a smooth heart in the middle.
I embossed Crimson Cardstock with one design from this month’s 3D Embossing Folder of the Month and rubbed a gold metallic ink pad over the surface to bring out the pattern more and add lots of shine. After matting it with Mirror Gold Cardstock, I adhered it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base. To finish off the card, I added a sentiment foiled in gold using this month’s Glimmer of the Month Kit.
GLIMMER KIT OF THE MONTH
And speaking of…this month’s Glimmer Kit of the Month, “My Heart Smiles” contains 4 Glimmer plates that can be used to foil a beautiful corner floral design and four sentiments as well as a die to cut some of the sentiments out into a strip. I applied Aura Hot Foil to white cardstock using one of the sentiments and the floral design in the kit for this simple and pretty thank you card.
Once foiled, I colored the images in with Copic markers and trimmed the panel down to about 3.5″ x 5″. I embossed Waterfall Cardstock using this month’s Embossing Folder of the Month and adhered it to a white card base before popping up the foiled panel on top with foam adhesive. To finish off the card, I embellished with a few Crystal Mix Gems.
CLEAR STAMP & DIE OF THE MONTH KIT & EMBOSSING FOLDER OF THE MONTH
This month’s Clear Stamp of the Month Kit, “Big Love” is a set of 12 stamps with a mix of sentiments, hearts, and greenery perfect for creating a pretty love card with a bold sentiment and floral accents. If your subscription includes the coordinating dies, you’ll also get 7 dies to cut out all of the accent images, the large sentiment, as well as a strip die for the smaller sub-sentiments. I stamped the large sentiment from the kit onto white cardstock using three different pink and purple inks along with my MISTI to get this pretty ombre look.
To assemble the card, I embossed a piece of white cardstock using this month’s Embossing Folder of the Month, “Tiled Hearts” before adhering it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with foam adhesive. Then I popped the large ombre sentiment up in the center of the card front and added leafy sprigs and hearts stamped and die-cut with the kit around the letters. To finish the card off, I added a sub-sentiment strip to the middle of the card and scattered a few Crystal Mix Gems around for a little sparkle.
BETTERPRESS OF THE MONTH
This month’s BetterPress of the Month Kit, “Sun & The Moon“, contains 5 press plates and 4 cutting dies that create a cool sun symbol as well as four coordinating sentiments. I used my kit to foil the image in gold onto white cardstock this time and colored it in with Copic markers.
Once colored, I blended Blueprint Sketch Distress Ink around the edges to look like a deep blue sky, and adhered the panel to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with foam adhesive. I kept this card pretty simple and only added a sentiment from kit foiled with the same gold hot foil.
WAX SEAL OF THE MONTH
Before we get to the newest club in town, here is a look at this month’s Wax Seal of the Month Kit. The “To The Moon” Wax Seal Kit contains one pretty circular wax seal stamp as well as a bag of coordinating waxbeads. My kit came with Coral Wax Beads, so I melted them along with a White Wax Bead before pressing it with the To The Moon Wax Seal Stamp to create a marbled look. To bring out the design more, I added gold metallic marker to the raised letters of the seal.
To create the background, I blended Saltwater Taffy and Abandoned Coral Distress Inks down a piece of white cardstock before embossing it with the Tiled Hearts Embossing Folder. Then I wrapped gold metallic twine around the panel before adhering it to a white card base with foam adhesive. I used the heart and sentiment strips from this month’s Small Die of the Month Kit (performing a little surgery on the “love” strip to make it face the correct way!) as a little bouquet and placed my wax seal over top to finish off the card.
STENCIL OF THE MONTH
Lastly, please allow me to introduce you to the newest club kit – Stencil of the Month! “My Love Grows” is a set of four stencils that layer to produce a gorgeous leafy heart background perfect for love or everyday cards. I inked my layers up with Spun Sugar, Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry, Tea Dye, and Vintage Photo Distress Inks to create this fun background.
I matted the panel with both Dune and Wild Berry Cardstock before adhering it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base. The sentiment was stamped in pink ink using this month’s Clear Stamp of the Month and cut out with the coordinating die before popping it up in the center with foam adhesive. To finish the card off, I added a few Gold Mix Gems for sparkle and shine.
