One more quick post today…I’m trying to catch up on my homework from Stretch Your Stamps 2! Here I watercolored some of the ice cream images from the “Ice Cream Dream” set from Simon Says Stamp using Peerless Watercolors and attached them to a “parachute” made from the top of an umbrella (“Sunnier Days” from SSS).
After piercing some holes in the patterned paper (“Lemonade Stand” from Bo Bunny – cut using the “Stitched Rectangle” dies from Lil’ Inker), I threaded some embroidery floss through to make the ice creams look like they were attached to my little parachute.
The sentiment was pieced together from several SSS stamp sets including “Love This”, “Ice Cream Dream”, and “Sending Happy Thoughts”. I stamped these onto a banner cut using the Stitched Banner die from Lil’ Inker and added a few mini opalescent sequins to finish off the card. I also added a dimensional under one end of the ice creams and the banner to make it look like they were floating a bit.
Thanks for stopping by and I’d love to hear your thoughts!
This is such a cool card (no pun intended)! Love how you used the umbrella stamp as a parachute, and your coloring is wonderful! Thanks for sharing this!
I love your take on the Bonus Day lesson. Very cute!
Cute idea! Love the stitched edging and the sentiment.
