I’m back today with just a quick card that I made from some of the images I colored while relaxing on the beach last week. If you enjoy watercoloring and want an easy way to travel with your supplies, you might want to check out this post from last November where I share free templates to use with Peerless Watercolors…60 colors, a waterbrush, paper towels, and your images can all fit inside of a half-inch binder for on-the-go crafting:
But back to the card…I stamped out the crab and little beach girl from the “Sunkissed Greetings” stamp set by Pink&Main on some Strathmore watercolor paper and painted them with lots of bright Peerless watercolors, then cut the panel smaller with a stitched rounded rectangle die from My Favorite Things. After die-cutting a small banner shape (Stampin’ Up) from some black cardstock (Recollections 110#), I embossed a sentiment in white using one of the greetings from the new “Mermaids” set.
I popped this all up over some glittery chevron cardstock from Doodlebug and then onto a black cardbase. For a little more detail, I added glittery polka dots to the little girl’s swimsuit with a Sakura Gelly Roll Stardust pen and 3D Crystal Lacquer to her sunglasses.
I hope you enjoyed this quick card project…I will be back soon with some of the latest decor projects I’ve been working on lately!
