I’m just stopping by quickly today to share a pretty gift box that I made using the new Gemini electronic die-cutter from Crafter’s Companion. Although this machine premiered at CHA back in January, it will finally be available for purchase here in the States on July 6th during one of HSN’s 24hr craft days (my favorite holiday that comes every other month). If you’re looking for a die-cutter/embosser for those intricate dies you have in your stash that won’t cut fully in your manual die-cutter (I sure had plenty), then I don’t think you’d be disappointed in this little workhorse. I was thrilled to see even my most problematic dies cut fully in one pass (it boasts higher pressure than other electronic die-cutters on the market).
I’ll be sharing more tips, clips, and projects over the next several weeks for the Gemini, but here is a little purse gift box that I made using some of the dies and embossing folders that come with the machine. After cutting the flowers and embossing the purse panels out of white pearl cardstock, I inked them with Distress Inks and used them to embellish a gift bag that I created with the Ulti-Bags board. The flap is held shut with a velcro tab and can be opened to fit a gift card, some candies, or any small gift…I think it’s perfect for a little girl’s birthday or even wedding favors!
So I’m back to unpacking now…did I mention that I’ve moved twice in the last couple of months? That means all of my crafty supplies are either boxed up or strewn across the floor of my new craft room…but the operative word is “new craft room”. 😀 It may take some time for me to get things up and running fully again, but hopefully by summer’s end I’ll be ready to share lots of projects for my two favorite crafty seasons. Thanks for stopping by today and have a great weekend!!
