Welcome back friends! Today I’m excited to share the new Postage Edge Shapes Collection by Becca Feeken. This beautiful border edge design has been translated into a variety of layered shapes and also layers perfectly with several of Becca’s previously-released nestable die sets! I used the new Postage Edge Circles Die Set to create this fun shaped Christmas card, but be sure to check out additional examples below.
I started by scoring and folding white cardstock, placing the largest die from the Postage Edge Circles Die Set over the scored side just a bit before running it through my diecutting machine to create the folded shape card base shown. Then I cut Raindrop Cardstock using the next smallest die in the set and embossed this layer with the Flurry of Snowflakes 3D Embossing Folder before matting it with a Mirror Silver layer cut with the largest die in the Picot Petite Circles Die Set and adding all of this to the shaped card base with foam adhesive.
The snowman was cut using the Let It Snowman A2 Cardfront Die Set (I’ve used this guy several times this year because he is so adorable!). I added a floral spray in the top corner cut with the Holiday Blooms Die Set and finished the card off with a sentiment foiled with Prism Hot Foil using the Joyful Christmas Sentiments Glimmer Plate.
And here are three more projects I made using the other shapes in the collection. For the first, I cut several frosty layers using the Postage Edge Squares Die Set, added a few icons from the Holiday Label Motifs and Winter Label Motifs Die Sets, and finished it off with a pretty sentiment from the Seasonal Motifs Sentiment Stamp Set. I combined layers from the Postage Edge Rectangles and Postage Edge Ovals Die Sets on the next card, embellishing with a pretty butterfly from the Summer Label Motifs Die Set and a sentiment from the Half Slimline Bracket Die Set. Lastly, I cut several layers out of pink, white, and gold cardstock using the Postage Edge Slimlines Die Set, added a decorative layer cut using the Thank You For Your Kindness Die Set, and topped it off with a sentiment from the Merry Everything Words Die Set. I loved this the minute I saw it online on Scrapbook.com. I love Becca Feeken and have many of her dies! I thought this card was one-dimensional as I didn’t see the folded cardstock the design is fixed upon — my daughters-in-law and I always give each other handmade Christmas ornaments each year and so I will modify your card to be a hanging ornament and they will love it once I locate the snowman stamp somewhere! Thank you for spreading your talent for us! Much appreciated!!
