Just stopping by quickly today to wish everyone a Happy New Year and share a clean and simple card I made by watercoloring with my Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens. This gorgeous bunch of flowers is a Sheena Douglass image called “Poppies“. I stamped it on some Crafter’s Companion Watercolor Cardstock along with a sentiment from “Home from Home” in Versafine Onyx Black ink, covered it with clear embossing powder, and melted it with my heat tool.
Since the sparkle pens blend beautifully on watercolor paper, I was able to start coloring my flowers with red at the base and pull the color up with an orange shade, creating the perfect poppy shade with lots of sparkle. A green and black mat for my “painting” was all I added to complete the card.
