Hello again friends! I am excited to be back today to share a couple of fun projects made with new On The Farm Collection from Spellbinders. This collection is full of adorable farm animals, cute coordinating sentiments, and some really great basic dies that are sure to become staples in your stash for years to come. I used a little bit of everything from the collection to create three sweet cards for friends.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY FROM ALL OF US
I never have enough birthday cards to send to someone from my entire family and I thought the variety of cute farm animals in this collection were perfect for creating such a card. I started by cutting and assembling the sheep, pig, and cow from the Counting Sheep, Ham It Up, and Hay There Stamp & Die Sets. All of the animal sets in the collection include adorable accessories like hats and a milk can, but I chose to use just the animals for this simple and sweet birthday card.
The background was created by cutting blue and green cardstock first with the largest of the Perfect Touch Rectangles Dies, then cutting the green die-cuts again with the hill and grass dies from the Landscape Edges Die Set. When layered, that cute notched edge of all of the background elements lined up perfectly using this method. To finish off the card, I popped the animals up on top with foam adhesive and added a sentiment foiled in gold using the Ideal Moments Press Plate & Die Set.
MAKE A SPLASH FOR YOUR BIRTHDAY
Next, I thought these geese with their little hats from the Honk Honk Stamp & Die Set were just too cute! I cut them out along with their puddles from various colors of cardstock and added a cute rainy background embossed with the Raindrops 3D Embossing Folder.
The landscape was created in much the same way as the last card – I first die cut blue, grey, and green cardstock using one of the Perfect Touch Arch Dies, then cut the grey and green die-cuts again with the cloud and grass dies from the Landscape Edges Die Set. Once layered, I stamped a sentiment from the Honk Honk Stamp & Die Set on the top of the arch and assembled my card with foam adhesive.
HELLO, JUST CHICKEN IN
I seem to know a lot of people with backyard chickens these days, so I was excited to see the new Spring Chicken Stamp & Die Set! I cut my chicken, chicks, and nest of eggs out of various cardstocks using the Spring Chicken set and added a few background elements (fence and bushes) from the Counting Sheep Stamp & Die Set to fill out my scene.
I wanted to add a chicken coop and thought the barn from the Picture Perfect Autumn Die Set would be the perfect size and style! The background was kept a little simpler for this card, adding only a stretch of grass from the Landscape Edges Die Set to give my chickens somewhere to roam. To finish off the card, I stamped a cute sentiment from the Spring Chicken Stamp & Die Set in the upper corner.
