It’s no secret that I love bright colors…especially when you can show them off on a deep black background. I’m back today to share a super bright and fun card made with the new “Doodled Flowers” set from Pink & Main. These flowers look great colored in, but I thought I would just let them shine in all of their doodle-y outline goodness for this card.
To start, I stamped several of the images and a sentiment in Versamark ink on black cardstock, added white embossing powder, and melted it with my heat tool. Then, I colored over the white embossing powder with my Bic Mark-its. CAUTION: Coloring any embossing powder except clear with alcohol markers can damage the nibs, but I thought the neon effect was worth potentially damaging a few of my cheapest markers. This is the reason I keep the Bics around anyway!
I left the sentiment white for emphasis and added sparkly enamel dots (Doodlebug Designs) to the centers of most of the flowers. Then I just popped the whole panel up over a white cardbase with foam tape.
I hope you enjoyed this super bright card project and thanks so much for stopping by today!
I love your work, and save most of your posts for future use. This one especially “grabs” me. Lovely!
Thank you so much Elyse…you totally made my day!!
Wow Annie! What a wonderful card and thanks for the tip! I never thought of coloring the embossing, I love the turn out though! Thanks for the inspiration! 🙂
Thank you so much Kimberly!
