Hello again friends! I am excited to be back today to share a couple of projects made with the new Lovely Garden Stamp & Die Bundle from Concord & 9th – available only at Scrapbook.com! This bundle of products includes a beautiful stitched piercing background plate, floral layering dies, and a stamp set full of pretty sentiments that work for tons of occasions. I combined the stamps and dies from the bundle in three different ways to create these pretty floral cards for a variety of occasions.
FLORAL THINKING OF YOU CARD
One of the coolest things about the Lovely Garden Die Set is that you can pierce the pretty stitched pattern into any card front, and then layer the other colorful die-cuts on top using the stitched lines as a guide to create a gorgeous floral design. Here I die cut the front of a top-folding A2-sized white card base with the piercing plate and then stamped a sentiment in the center of the design in blue ink using the Lovely Garden Stamp Set (many of the sentiments in this set fit into the blank space perfectly!).
Next, I cut all of the flowers and leaves from the die set out of Pink Lemonade, Creamsicle, Sweet Pea, Sprout, and Aqua Sky Cardstocks and added them to the card front with liquid glue. To add some sparkle and shine, I cut the flower centers out of Mirror Gold Cardstock and added Crystal Mix Gems instead of the remaining dot die-cuts. I love how easy it was to build this beautiful floral design on my card front!
HELLO LOVELY CARD
There are several large, gorgeous sentiments in the Lovely Garden Stamp Set, so I wanted to turn the focus more on one of these for my next card. To create the colorful stitched background, I blended Squeezed Lemonade, Dried Marigold, and Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide Ink down a piece of white cardstock before diecutting it using the Lovely Garden piercing plate and adhering it to a top-folding white card base. Then I stamped the sentiment from the Lovely Garden Stamp Set onto white cardstock using Versamark Ink, added gold embossing powder, and melted it with a heat tool before cutting it out with one of the Nested Circles Dies.
I next cut out several leafy branches and flowers from Pink Lemonade, Creamsicle, and Sprout Cardstock using the Lovely Garden Die Set, shading the flowers with the same Distress Oxide Inks used on the background. After adhering the sentiment circle to the card front with foam adhesive, I arranged the floral branches around the circle before tacking them down with more foam adhesive. Gold Mix Gems were added to embellish.
SIMPLE COLORBLOCK THANKS CARD
The stitched background design is also stunning on its own, so I switched gears again to place the focus on the background with this simple colorblock design. I started by adhering one-inch strips of Creamsicle, Pink Lemonade, Sprout, and Aqua Sky Cardstock to a piece of scrap paper and then die cut the panel using the piercing plate. Then I stamped the large thanks sentiments from the Lovely Garden Stamp Set in the center using Versamark Ink and embossed it in white.
I adhered the panel to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with foam adhesive and thought I was done, but decided the card needed a little more white to accent the sentiment. So I die cut white cardstock using just a couple of the floral dies from the Lovely Garden Die Set and added them in a stacked column down the center of the card. It’s such a simple, but fun effect!
