Hello again friends! I wanted to stop by today to share a couple of projects made with the new Kaleidoscope Arch Collection from Spellbinders. (Check out the rest of the November release here…some really pretty stuff this month!) This collection contains a die set, stencil, press plate, and stamp set all meant to work together to create unique projects with beautiful, intricate designs. Here I used the collection to create two pretty, ornate cards perfect for sending a frosty floral hello.
THANKS FOR EVERYTHING CARD
I can never resist a new stitching die and the Stitched Kaleidoscope Arch Die Set has that beautiful, layered eyelet border detail that Spellbinders is known for too! I cut one of the arches out of Purple Mist Cardstock and stitched it up with silver metallic thread, then added the layered border pieces underneath (cut from Royal Amethyst and Mirror Silver Cardstock). For the other arch, I stamped the “thanks” onto white cardstock using the Kaleidoscope Arch Sentiments Stamp Set before cutting and layering it using the Stitched Kaleidoscope Arch Die Set. I adhered the two halves together and added a sub-sentiment in the center embossed in white onto Royal Amethyst Cardstock and cut with the banner die from the Stitched Kaleidoscope Arch Die Set.
To create the background, I applied white pigment ink through the Kaleidoscope Window Stencil onto Lilac Blossom Cardstock and matted it with Mirror Silver Cardstock before mounting it onto a top-folding A2-sized white card base. After popping the focal image up in the center of the card with foam adhesive, I embellished with some flowers and leaves cut using the Kaleidoscope Arch Die Set.
JUST SAYING HELLO LETTERPRESS CARD
The intricate design of the Kaleidoscope Flowers Press Plate is so gorgeous you can spend the time to color it up if you want or just leave it as-is like I’ve done here. I pressed the design onto Waterfall Cardstock using Cosmic Sky BetterPress Ink, inked around the edges with Salty Ocean Distress Ink to give the panel a glowing look, matted it with Cosmic Sky Cardstock, and mounted it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base.
The sentiment was pressed onto Porcelain Cotton Cardstock using Cosmic Sky BetterPress Ink and the Fancy Sentiment Strips Press Plate, cut out with the coordinating die, and added to the bottom corner with foam adhesive. To embellish, I cut some flowers and leaves out of white and Mirror Silver Cardstock using the Kaleidoscope Arch Die Set and framed the sentiment with them.
