Hello again friends! I am excited to be back today to share a couple of cute projects made with new Jump For Joy Collection from Spellbinders (check out all of the April collections HERE!). This little collection contains adorable frog and scene dies, cute coordinating sentiments, and a gorgeous, layered stencil set that can be used to create fun cards for a variety of occasions. I used a little bit of everything from the collection to create two sweet cards for friends.
FROGGY HELLO CARD
As an outdoor enthusiast, I love any and all craft supplies related to nature and the Frog Prince Die Set does not disappoint! This set contains dies to cut and assemble a very detailed frog, mushroom and flowers, and even a fun background element to create clouds or a mound of earth. I cut two frogs out of Rainforest and Oceanside Cardstock and added a mushroom and pink daisies to the scene for this cute hello card.
To create the background, I cut Breeze and Rainforest Cardstock using one of the Perfect Touch Rectangle Dies, trimming the green die-cut into a small hill with a pair of scissors before adhering it to the blue die-cut. Once I had assembled my scene on top of the background panel, I adhered it all on top of a piece of Oceanside Cardstock that was embossed with the Mushroom Harvest 3D Embossing Folder using foam adhesive. A cute sentiment strip stamped using the Jump For Joy Sentiments Stamp Set was the perfect finishing touch!
ENJOY YOUR NEW PAD CARD
The Lily Pad Stencil is a fun layering stencil set that is easy to use and can create a beautiful wetland background scene for your frogs or can serve as a focal point as well. I applied Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry, Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Vintage Photo, and Ground Espresso Distress Ink onto white cardstock through the stencils in the set to create this simple and colorful background. Once inked, I die cut the top of the panel off using the cloud border die from the Frog Prince Die Set.
Some of the sentiments from the Jump For Joy Sentiments Stamp Set are curved to fit perfectly into the cloud border, so I added mine using some Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink and my Misti. After mounting this onto a card front created by embossing Cosmic Sky Cardstock with the Leafy Helix Embossing Folder, I added my frog cut from Fawn Cardstock (using the Frog Prince Die Set) as well as a tiny dragonfly from the Hummingbird & Lily Die Set. Crystal Mix Gems were added to embellish.
