Yesterday, I posted this chalkboard-inspired card that I made using sketch pens in my Cameo and some metallic colored pencils (for details on the card exterior, please see this post):
Today is the first day of OnlineCardClasses.com’s Insider Class, and we were asked to take a card we’ve already completed and add some interest to the inside. I wanted to bring the spider theme into the inside of the card as well as the idea of eating and drinking, while still leaving enough room for plenty of writing (I live far away from home and need lots of room to write!).
So first, I added a pop-up spiderweb that I created in Silhouette Studio by altering a ready-made design and cut this out of sturdy black cardstock with my Cameo. Then, I stamped a flask using the “Test Tubes” set from Inkadinkado to incorporate “drinking” (a little scientist humor…no, you don’t need to laugh…I usually don’t find scientists funny either)…and it also happened to have a little spider in it.
Lastly, a little sentiment from the Fiskars “Halloween Night” set fit perfectly, since my card front never got around to saying it. This leaves just enough room for me to catch up with loved ones at home.
Thanks for stopping by and I’d love to hear any comments you may have!
