The weather is finally getting a little cooler where I am…so for non-coffee drinkers like myself, that means it’s hot chocolate season! (Hot chocolate enthusiasts no longer need to feel left out from the seasonal flavors now that Kraft makes pumpkin spice marshmallows too!) Today I’m sharing this cute hot cocoa gift box that I cut with my Silhouette CAMEO. It was the perfect backdrop for the soon-to-be-released stamp set “Cocoa Cafe” from Pink & Main and will make a great neighbor gift as well.
The gift box was cut using this 3D Coffee Mug design (#69481) from the Silhouette Design Store and patterned paper from the new “Pumpkin Spice” collection by Simple Stories. I try not to buy much patterned paper anymore since I have so much of it collecting dust in my craft room, but every year I usually splurge on one autumn and one Christmas collection. The “Pumpkin Spice” collection was definitely my favorite autumn release this year! (I haven’t found any unique new Christmas collections to buy this year though…if you have a suggestion, please leave it in the comments!)
I stamped out one of the images from the “Cocoa Cafe” stamp set onto some Copic X-press Blending Card and colored it in using Copic markers. Then, I hand-cut a simple tag shape from some coordinating patterned paper and heat-embossed my sentiment in gold at the bottom. My colored image was cut out using the coordinating dies for this set and popped up with some foam squares.
After filling my 3D mug with a package of Godiva Hot Cocoa and a bag of pumpkin spice marshmallows, I tied my cute tag on using some thick jute twine (Recollections).
I hope you enjoyed this quick and easy gift idea…be sure to stop back on Friday for a little more autumn inspiration!
Totally cute & fun!!
Have a blessed day,
