Have you seen the new challenge over at the Pink & Main Blog yet? It’s a fun color challenge and today I’m sharing some inspiration if you’d like to join in this month for the chance to win some great prizes. With some careful masking, I stamped out an adorable envelope image from the new “Happy Mail” set by Pink & Main in a line onto watercolor paper.
The envelopes were colored with my Spectrum Aqua markers and a waterbrush to coordinate with the colors of the challenge. Afterwards, I added a little matching heart to each one by coloring the same marker directly onto the stamp. This gives a bit of a splotchy look to the hearts, but I thought it went well with the watercoloring.
To finish the card off, I added a cute sentiment, matted the panel onto a piece of black cardstock, and sprinkled some clear sparkly enamel dots (Doodlebug Design) around.
Thanks so much for stopping by today and I would love to hear your comments!
This is so cute! I love the colorful envelopes and hearts cascading on the card! I need to make a couple of these to send to my sons. Even though they are grown & on their own, I still like to let them know I’m thinking of them. Great inspiration!
Thank you so much Sharon! This was one of those cards where I really didn’t think I’d like the end result, but it actually worked out. And super simple to make multiples too!
How cute and sweet! Great job on the watercoloring, Annie!
Thank you so much Helen!
