I just wanted to write a quick post to wish all of my readers a merry Christmas and share one last card for the season.
This card came together super quickly using a design from the Online Store and Silhouette adhesive cardstock for all of the piecings. To turn this design into a card, I simply cut a second base circle, scored it about 0.5in from the top, and then adhered just that sliver of the circle to the card front so that it would open from the bottom.
The paper piecing was as simple as stacking a couple of stickers…but I did give him enamel dot eyes (My Mind’s Eye) instead of paper eyes. The photos are a fairly good representation of the actual cardstock colors (it’s skewing a little blue on my screen though), so if you are interested in trying some and don’t know which to buy, the colors I used for this card are:
- Emerald Green (not quite as bluish as it looks here, but definitely a little more blue than I would normally consider emerald)
- Warm Grey (can definitely pass for tan)
- Rose (kinda a ruddy red…I like “Strawberry” a little better, but the Rose looked better with the Emerald)
- Burnt Orange (an all-around nice orangey-brown that’s a bit brighter than “Pumpkin”).
I’ll be posting projects soon using more of the colors, but feel free to leave a comment if you have any questions about the adhesive cardstock. I’d also love to hear if you’ve tried it and what you think of it.
Have a safe and happy holiday!
I haven’t tried it, but your card looks great! Love all the details in the layers.
