I’m just stopping in today to share this quick Christmas card made with stamps from the “Holly Berries” set by Simon Says Stamp and Clearly Besotted. Since this is only the second Christmas card I’ve made this year and it’s almost the middle of December…yeah…all of my cards are going to need to be quick ones now! I just stamped all of my images along with my sentiment using Versamark ink, coated the panel with gold embossing powder, and melted it. A little reminiscent of Kristina Werner’s card here…I added more Versamark ink to the edges of the card base and heat embossed them in matching gold powder. The panel is adhered to the base with a little foam tape for dimension.
I love the detail of these stamps…those thin little pine needles look so delicate! Side note – for anyone who is concerned about the detail you can achieve using embossing powders from Michaels…that’s what I’ve used here. I have many different brands of embossing powders, including several from Recollections, and love them all. BTW – the cardstock is Mossy Meadow from Stampin’ Up.
I hope you’ll come back on Friday for another freebie cut file. Thanks for stopping by and I’d love to hear your comments!
