In just a few days here in America, we’ll be gathering around the table with friends and family, chowing down on some delicious food, and hopefully thinking about what we’re grateful for. I wanted to take this time to thank all of my amazing subscribers who take the time to comment on my posts, “like” my photos on Facebook and Instagram, and pin my projects on Pinterest. It can be tough at times to post regularly with a one year old running around, but your support makes it all worth it!
This card was created using the new “Giving Thanks” stamp set from Crafter’s Companion…and since they wanted to take the time to thank all of you as well, you’ll get this set free with any purchase this week! I stamped the peony wreath onto vellum and colored the backside with Spectrum Noir markers (EB1, GB7, GB8, GB10, CG2, and DG4) in an autumn palette. Since the ink takes a bit longer to dry on vellum, I was able to create a painterly, almost watercolor look by dabbing darker colors into pools of wet light ink.
Once fussy-cut, I adhered the wreath using Kool Tak clear foam to a white panel embossed with the “Wood Grain” Textures embossing folder. A little Tea Dye Distress ink around the edges and some natural twine finished off this simple and rustic card perfectly.
In addition to receiving the “Giving Thanks” set free with any purchase, Crafter’s Companion will be doing giveaways and releasing some great new products this week…so don’t forget to check them out on Facebook and Instagram. I hope you all have a great week and, as always, thank you so much for stopping by!
