I’m back today with a simple and somewhat masculine slider card cut with my Silhouette and embellished with stamps found in the new “Whale of a Time” set by Pink & Main. This slider card design from the Silhouette Design Store comes with a sailboat, but I decided to add the cute whale image instead. All card components were cut from a variety of Bazzill cardstocks cut using the standard settings for “Textured Cardstock” in the Silhouette Studio software.
I stamped the whale image in Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored him in with Copic markers. To add a little texture and fun, I added some spots to him with my Signo white gel pen…no, I don’t know what kind of whale looks like this, but I had fun anyway! The sentiment was stamped in Versafine Onyx Black ink on my lower wave panel, covered with clear embossing powder, and heated until melted. I inked the edges of the clouds and waves for just a touch of simple detail (Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and Wedding Dress Memento Luxe ink).
And here is what it looks like in motion…once assembled, my whale could take a little trip across the ocean whenever he wanted and I thought this was a fun detail on an otherwise simple card.
Thanks for stopping by today and I would love to hear your comments!
