I’m back this week with a quick post for a clean and simple masculine card I made using some soon-to-be-released stamps from Pink & Main. This large image and coordinating sentiment are part of the new set called “Best Fishes” that I thought was perfect for a card for my husband on Father’s Day. Since I wanted to keep the card a bit more masculine (even though he really doesn’t mind slightly frilly cards), I kept the focus on the cute image and left the rest of the design simple.
After coloring the little boy in with Copic markers, I outlined the whole image with a light grey marker (C1) to make it pop off the page a bit. I also added a few ripples in the water to give it a little movement.
Once matted on some scrap green cardstock I found in my stash, I popped the whole panel up on top of some kraft-colored woodgrain cardstock using foam tape and added a few twists of off-white jute from American Crafts.
It’s been a struggle for me to find time to post more projects lately with a super hectic work schedule as the semester closes out (should all be over next week!), but I hope you enjoyed this clean and simple card today and I promise to be back really soon with a new Silhouette project I’ve been working on for Mother’s Day. Thanks for stopping by and I’d love to hear what you think!
How sweet! I love your colorful image and design. Wonderful card!
Thanks so much Sharon…this was a fun little scene to color!
