Envelope of Wonder Collection from Spellbinders

Welcome back friends!  I’m excited to be back today to share a couple of projects made with the new Envelope of Wonder Collection from Spellbinders.  (Check out the entire August release here…so many beautiful new items!)  This collection is chock full of holiday and seasonal icons as well as an envelope base die set perfect for sending a little cheer all year long.  I used a bunch of the products from the collection to create two autumn cards, but be sure to check out the extra Christmas sample below!

BURSTING AUTUMN ENVELOPE CARD

The Envelope of Wonder Die Set is a huge set with all of the dies you need to build a fully-functioning envelope measuring 3.25″ x 4.5″ when closed or about the size of an A2 card when left open like I’ve done here.  You can fill it full of the beautiful flowers included in the set or add any of the seasonal icons from the rest of the collection to use it all year long.  I cut my envelope out of Lagoon Cardstock and some patterned paper before adding tons of autumn icons for this pretty envelope card.

There are tons of leaves, mushrooms, and pumpkins in the Autumn Wonder Die Set and I tried to use all of them!  After cutting them out of brightly colored cardstocks (listed below), I added some shading with various Distress Inks and a sponge dauber.  The tag was created by stamping a pretty sentiment from the Envelope of Wonder Sentiments Stamp Set onto white cardstock and cutting it out with the tag die included in the Envelope Of Wonder Die Set.

If bursting envelopes aren’t your thing, you can certainly find a use for all of the tons of seasonal accessory dies!  Here I added some of the really cute designs from the Halloween Wonder Die Set to a normal A2-sized card.   After cutting some icons from white, Lunar Grey, Persimmon, Rainforest, Lilac Blossom, and Royal Amethyst Cardstock using the Halloween Wonder and Autumn Wonder Die Sets, I added some more shading with Distress Inks and sponge daubers.

The background was created by matting a piece of patterned paper from the Monster Mash Paper Pad with Onyx Cardstock and adhering it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with tape runner.  Then I added a black panel cut with one of the Notched Corner Frame Dies with foam adhesive before adding my die-cuts on top.  To finish off the card, I added a sentiment from the Halloween Icons BetterPress Set and a few gems.
