I thought this technique would look great on a very intricate die cut…and with so much purple in this week’s color scheme, what’s more intricate than grape vines? This is a file I purchased from the Silhouette Online Store (design # 8116) and cut from very thick white cardstock using my Cameo. Since it was so intricate, I did have to weed out a few pieces myself with a knife and reshape some parts, but I love the end result:
I heat-embossed the whole die cut twice using bronze embossing powder, then added some highlights with a Versamark pen, followed by heat-embossing in gold. The grapes were painted purple by hand using Martha Stewart Pearl Craft Paint in Purple Martin.
I stamped the sentiment onto the card base in Versafine Onyx Black using a stamp from the Fiskars “Floral Flair” set. I formed the frame by die-cutting an oval out of purple cardstock followed by embossing using the Cuttlebug Harlequin embossing folder. The grapevine was adhered using strategically placed foam squares.
Thanks for stopping by!

Gorgeously crafted! Like that color cardstock you used on the dry embossed panel.
