It’s finally springtime! Today I wanted to create a scene where these adorable bunnies from the newest release by Rubbernecker were hopping around a bright spring field hiding Easter eggs. I thought no-line coloring would add a storybook feel, making it a perfect Easter card for a younger loved one. Here are the easy steps to recreate this card:
- Stamp the images from the Bunnies Stamp Set onto white cardstock using Mocha Ink for a no-line coloring look.
- Color the images with Copic markers and cut them out with the coordinating dies.
- Die cut three different sizes of hills from different colors of green cardstock using the Stitched Hills Dies. Start with the lightest color for the shortest hill and end with the darkest color for the tallest hill to give the scene a little depth.
- Die cut white woodgrain cardstock with the Rectangle Combo #4 die. Take the largest frame for this card and save the rest of the die-cuts for future projects.
- Trim a piece of white cardstock to 4″ x 5.25″. Using the Slimline Clouds Dies, I cut a custom double-sided reusable stencil from stencil material. Then I blended Sonata ink over the top half of the white cardstock using a blending brush and my custom stencil to create three levels of puffy white clouds.
- Stamp a greeting from the Bunnies Stamp Set in the upper right corner of the panel using Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink.
- Adhere the three hills on top of the stenciled background panel with tape runner and mat this with teal cardstock before adhering it to a top-folding A2-sized kraft card base.
- Pop the frame up on top of the scene using foam adhesive.
- Add the bunnies to the scene with foam adhesive.
- Die cut pink cardstock with the Small Flowers #3 Die. Cup the smallest blooms upward using a ball stylus and adhere to the grassy hills with liquid glue to embellish.
I hope you enjoyed this fun Easter card and thanks so much for stopping by. Don’t forget to check out the NEW Springtime Fun Release from Rubbernecker…you’ll find so many beautiful new images and coordinating dies for Spring and Easter projects!
