Ok, Downton Abbey fans…if you ordered the “Official Downton Abbey Luxury Cardmaking Kit” from Crafter’s Companion last week (on HSN during their 24-hour crafting event), I have one more project to share with you today. This time I combined enough pieces for two cards to make a fun tri-fold wallet birthday card.
First, I glued two A2-sized cardbases together so that the purple crown patterns lined up on the outside and the card was all white on the inside. Then, I took two of the printed strips and adhered them together to form a belly band. A die-cut sentiment framed by one of the printed wooden pieces embellished the belly band.
By simply gluing a few of the gold framed card inserts to two of the panels and adding a beautiful sentiment and gold-foiled floral piece, I had a unique card done in minutes. I struggle to create frou-frou projects, so the kit definitely made it easy for me.
This card will be going to an aunt of mine who is obsessed with Downton Abbey…but I think I kept it generic enough that I could really send it to anyone, even if they’ve never watched the show. Are you a fan?
Thanks for stopping by today and I would love to hear your comments!
