Today I’m stopping by again with one more look at the October release from Divinity Designs and a couple of new ideas to use some of the fun products. I love how the Loads of Love stamp and die set includes images and sentiments for the entire year, so I used it here to make a fun fall scene on a pumpkin farm. After coloring the truck and two sets of pumpkins with Copic markers, I die cut them with the coordinating dies.
The background is just a panel of white cardstock I die cut using the Pierced Rectangle dies, and inked with Distress Oxide inks to look like grass and blue skies. After matting it with some brown cardstock, I added fluffy white clouds (cut using the coordinating dies for the pumpkins and apples!) that I had stamped with a fall sentiment from the set. All of the elements are set against a woodgrain backdrop from the Weathered Wood paper pad.
The next card uses the Deer Ornament stamp and die set in a different way. Here I’ve heat embossed a sentiment from the set in white and then cut a circular window into a sheet from the Rustic Christmas paper pad using the coordinating die. Behind the window, I’ve placed a panel that I heat-embossed the main Deer Ornament image onto in white and inked a snowy hill and winter sunset over top using Distress Inks.
Adding the ornament topper die-cut with a silver floss hanger bow to the card makes it both a magical ornament or a snowy view from a log cabin…at least that’s what was in my head when I made it!
Lastly, and moving into spring now, I used the Treat Tower die set to make a simple springtime gift box. Using some bright purple cardstock from my stash as a base, I added pretty plaid and polka dot panels die cut from the Pastels paper pad.
The label on the front was created by stamping the flower images and sentiment from the Loads of Love stamp set onto white cardstock, followed by die-cutting with one of the Pierced Circles dies. I then embellished the label with a bow and some leaves and mini flowers using the Peaceful Poinsettia die set.
I hope you enjoyed this new batch of projects using the October release from Divinity Designs and thanks so much for stopping by today. Stay tuned for peeks of the November release at the end of this week and if you have a favorite product from October, I’d love to hear about it in the comments!
