It’s just over a month until Easter and I still have a lot of cards and treats to make for the little ones in my life. Today I wanted to share this fun Easter card I made with the new “Easter Street” and “Easter Peeps” stamp sets from Pink & Main. Although there are tons of cute images in the “Easter Street” set for building a scene, I chose this one adorable stamp with the bunny farming its carrots and extended it a bit to fill the center of my card nicely.
I knew that I would be using a bold patterned paper for this card, so after coloring my image with Copic markers, I die-cut several different circular layers to really draw attention to it (basic circles – Sizzix, scalloped circle – Spellbinders, pinking edge – Stampin Up). The sentiment, from the “Easter Peeps” set, was stamped on a simple banner shape that I cut myself and heat embossed in white.
After adding bright green and black mats to the patterned paper (all from Simple Stories), I adhered everything to a heavy white cardbase. The medallion and banner were then popped up with foam tabs. For a little sparkle, I added a few white glitter enamel dots (Doodlebug) as flower centers on the patterned paper.
I hope you enjoyed this bright and cheerful Easter card and I would love to hear your comments!
