Happy Friday friends! In just over a week, spring will officially be here in the northern hemisphere and I’m celebrating with a couple of bright and cheery cards made with some beautiful Scrapbook.com exclusive products. I love all of the gorgeous stamp and die designs they have been releasing lately, so was thrilled when they sent me some of their latest products to try out!
FLORAL THANKS CARD
Soon enough, my neighborhood will be bursting with colorful flowers…but for the next couple of weeks, I’ll have to settle for creating my own on paper. The Slimline Floral Stamp Set is gorgeous, and I couldn’t wait to color all of these different blooms. The design can fill the entire background of a slimline card, but I trimmed my down to fit on an A2-sized for something different.
I stamped the entire image from the Slimline Floral Stamp Set onto white cardstock with black alcohol-friendly ink and trimmed the panel down to about 3″ x 5.5″. Then I just sat and colored the whole thing in with my Copic markers.
I added a page out of the Jewels Paper Pad to the front of a top-folding A2-sized white card base and then adhered my colored panel (matted with some silver glitter paper from the Mixed Metals Paper Pad) on top.
The sentiment was cut from white cardstock and silver glitter paper using one of the dies from the Cardmaker Block Words Die Set. After layering the two colors, I added it to the bottom right corner with foam adhesive.
MINI SLIMLINE HELLO CARD
I wanted to play with some more pretty florals, so I picked up the Spring Sprigs Stamp Set and Floral Borders Die Set next. I thought the images in the Spring Sprigs Stamp Set would make a beautiful tone-on-tone pattern, so I created my own!
I grabbed a pretty sheet of cardstock from the Sherbet Paper Pad and just randomly stamped the sprigs using Oasis Hybrid Ink. I also filled in any areas that looked bare, but were too small for more sprigs, with a couple of dots using the period from the Cute Cursive Stamp Set. Then I trimmed a piece out of the panel measuring 3.25″ x .625″.
The sentiment was stamped onto white cardstock with black alcohol-friendly ink using the Brooklyn Lower Stamp Set (I love this font!). I colored the letters in a pretty rainbow pattern with my Copic markers and then trimmed the panel down to about 1.5″ x 6.25″.
After diecutting white cardstock using one of designs from the Floral Border Die Set, I adhered it to the back of the sentiment panel with liquid glue. Then I just popped the whole thing up on top of my “patterned paper” and adhered it all to a top-folding mini slimline-sized white card base. To embellish, I added tons of Crystal Mix Gems.
SIMPLE EASTER EGG CARD
How adorable are these tiny layered Easter eggs? I loved the design so much that I couldn’t bear to cover too much of it and opted to created a pretty simple Easter card.
First, I trimmed a sheet of green cardstock from the Jewels Paper Pad to 4″ x 5.25″. After inking through the solid egg layer of the Easter Egg Layering Stencils using Spun Sugar, Dried Marigold, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Tumbled Glass, and Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide Inks, I added the detail layer using White Glossy Color Pops. I simply squeezed a thick line of the Color Pop across the top of the stencil and scraped it all the way to the bottom using the All Purpose Craft Scraper…so simple!
I die cut champagne glitter paper from the Mixed Metals Paper Pad using the Loopy Cursive Die Set to spell out the “Easter” and stamped a little happy in green ink onto white cardstock using the Oh So Happy Stamp Set.
I popped the background panel up on top of a top-folding A2-sized white card base with foam adhesive and adhered a pretty border from the Floral Borders Die Set across the bottom with liquid glue. To pop the glitter sentiment up a bit from the card front, I adhered a couple of layers of white die-cut letters behind the glitter layer.
I love being able to customize sentiments with the words and fonts of my choosing!
I hope you enjoyed these bright springtime cards and thanks so much for stopping by today. You can check out the beautiful new exclusive designs over at Scrapbook.com and create your own pretty spring cards as we leave this crazy winter behind next week!
