AUTUMN & THANKSGIVING CARDS
This release has tons of beautiful autumn and Christmas products and today I created six projects to showcase some of the fun new stitching dies, backgrounds, and stamps. Let’s start out with some cards perfect for fall and Thanksgiving!
AUTUMN BLESSED CARD
I thought the Woodgrain Die was gorgeous so I wanted to create a card with this first….those stitched rings make for such a beautiful background! For a little texture behind my wood slice, I stamped and embossed the Multiple Fall Leaves Stamps in gold on Fern Cardstock.
To add a little autumn color, I then embossed the same Multiple Fall Leaves Stamps onto white cardstock and used the Multiple Fall Leaves Die-n-Stencil to add some Distress Inks and cut them out. The Blessed Print Die provided the perfect sentiment for this card, and I finished it off with a couple of Gold Mix Gems to embellish.
STITCHED FLOWER HELLO CARD
And how cute are the Dotted Flowers Dies?! I cut them out of bright fall colors and stitched the centers with some yellow and green embroidery thread, but you can leave them as-is for a fun look as well.
The background was created by cutting some Pomegranate Cardstock with the Dotted Sunburst Die and I added a sentiment stamped in red using the Essential Sentiments Stamp Set and cut out with the coordinating die.
STITCHED LEAVES THINKING OF YOU CARD
What’s fun about the Multiple Fall Leaves Combo is that you can stamp, stencil, add stitched veins, AND cut them out for tons of different looks. This time I just used the stencil to create a brightly colored background and added the stitching detail with the die for some texture.
I repeated this on some white cardstock, and then cut them out with the Multiple Fall Leaves Die to embellish my sentiment. This sentiment is from the Essential Sentiments Stamp Set too, and I cut it out with one of the new Dotted Labels Dies.
CHRISTMAS & WINTER CARDS
Now let’s take a look at some simple and elegant holiday cards using the new release!
STITCHED AND INK BLENDED CHRISTMAS CARD
I had to have another go at the Dotted Sunburst Die, so this time I blended Cracked Pistachio, Evergreen Bough, Pine Needles, and Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink down a piece of white cardstock before cutting it with the fun background die. After stitching the entire design with some gold metallic thread, I matted it with Mirror Gold Cardstock and adhered it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base.
I wanted this card to be all about the background, so I only embossed a pretty sentiment in gold using the Dotted Labels Christmas Stamp Set on some white cardstock and added it over the intersection of all of those gold strands.
MODERN CHRISTMAS TREE CARD
Continuing with the clean and simple theme, I cut the three Dotted Triangle Trees out of white cardstock and blended some Distress Oxide Inks over them before stitching them up with coordinating thread.
The background was created by cutting white cardstock with the A2 Piercing Panel Die and matting it with Mirror Silver Cardstock before adding it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base. To finish off the card, I embossed a sentiment from the Dotted Labels Christmas Stamp Set in silver and added it to the front of the card with some sparkly gems.
ELEGANT CHRISTMAS CARD
Lastly, I loved this sentiment from the Dotted Labels Christmas Stamp Set and thought it was so gorgeous combined with the coordinating Dotted Labels Die that it could stand on its own embossed in gold.
I die cut both white and Mirror Gold Cardstock with the Woven Pattern Die and offset them just slightly for a subtle gilded shadow on this background. Then I just popped my embossed sentiment up in the center of the card with foam adhesive.
