I loved this month’s Small Die of the Month Kit so much that I couldn’t stop stitching these gorgeous leaves! Here I used them alongside a couple other September club kits to create two more bright autumn cards.
COLORFUL AUTUMN HELLO CARD
For this card, I started by cutting all of the leaves out of white cardstock followed by blending several colors of Distress Ink over them with sponge daubers. Then, I stitched them using gold Diamant thread.
For the background, I trimmed a piece of Phone Booth Cardstock to 4.25″ x 5.5″, embossed it with the Scattered Fall Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with tape runner. Then I cut the sentiment from the Small Die of the Month Kit out of Phone Booth and Mirror Gold Cardstock and added it along with the stitched leaves to the card front with foam adhesive.
AUTUMN LEAVES CART CARD
My next card incorporates the cart from this month’s Large Die of the Month Kit to carry these huge, bright autumn leaves. After cutting the leaves and shadow layers out of Saffron, Rainforest, Teal Topaz, Persimmon, Timber, and Mirror Gold Cardstock, I stitched them up with a closely matching thread for a tone-on-tone look.
This time I trimmed Terra Cotta Cardstock to 4″ x 5.25″, embossed it with the Scattered Fall Embossing Folder, and matted it with Mirror Gold Cardstock before adhering it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with tape runner. The tractor cart was cut from Mirror Gold, Dune, and Onyx Cardstock and popped up over top the leaves with foam adhesive. To finish the card off, I added a sentiment foiled in Matte Gold Hot Foil using last month’s Glimmer Kit of the Month.
