Hi all! Today I’m so excited to be participating in a blog hop offering inspiration for all of the gorgeous new holiday products released so far from Spellbinders. If you’re a new visitor to my blog, I’m Annie and I love all things paper – handmade cards, gifts, and home décor. You should have arrived here from Carrie’s blog, but if this is your first stop, you can click here to start back at the beginning. Don’t forget to leave a comment on the blog for a chance to win a $50 store credit for Spellbinders products!
I love to play with all sorts of color combinations for Christmas cards and thought the new Merry Filigree Die Set from Becca Feeken’s Holiday Medley Collection would look beautiful in muted tones and gold accents. After cutting the intricate background out of Alabaster Cardstock, I backed it with some Blue Spruce Cardstock, matted it with Mirror Gold, and added it to a top-folding slimline-sized card base with tape runner. The sentiment circle was then cut from Alabaster Cardstock, backed with Mirror Gold, and popped up on top of the card front with foam adhesive.
To embellish, I cut poinsettias, pine cones, and pine sprigs from the Christmas Blooms Die Set out of Pink Sand, Alabaster, Portobello, and Mirror Gold Cardstock and arranged them in two clusters on the corners of the card front. Adhering them down with a mix of liquid glue and foam adhesive gives them tons of dimension and I added a few Gold Mix Gems to the flower centers for a little sparkle.
I hope you enjoyed this soft and pretty Christmas card made with some of the new holiday products just released from Spellbinders. Keep on hopping for tons of inspiration and a chance to win store credit for Spellbinders products!
