Sometimes a die set is so cute and so versatile, the world begs for a second chance to snatch it up. The Seasons Greetings, Deer die set was first included in the November 2018 Card Kit of the Month, but was so popular, Spellbinders decided to re-release limited quantities this month as a separate die set. With 19 dies in all, you can style your deer in dozens of ways and add them with the sweet sentiment to tons of different Christmas projects.
I thought it would be cute to make his and hers Christmas cards today and style the deer like Rudolph and Clarice from the classic Christmas show. To create Rudolph, I cut several different colors of brown cardstock with the Seasons Greetings, Deer die set and added a red nose and green bowtie (I love that beautiful embossed detail on the bowtie!).
For a fun background, I matted some of the gilded confetti paper from the Dancin Santa paper pad with blue cardstock and adhered it to a A2-sized white card base. Then I foiled a sentiment from the Shimmering Merry Christmas Sentiments Glimmer plate set using Gold Hot Foil and my Glimmer Hot Foil Machine.
I adhered all of the die cut elements to the card base with foam adhesive to ensure they stood out enough from the speckled background.
To create Clarice, I die cut tan, ivory, and pink cardstocks instead with the Seasons Greeting, Deer die set and added a flower to her ear (although you could use the bow on her head instead to resemble the real Clarice more).
This time I gave my deer a shaped card base, created by adhering pink and gold loopy circles made with the largest die from the Picot Petite Circle die set to a slightly smaller circular white card base. Then I applied Gold Hot Foil to white cardstock using the largest design from the Christmas Essential Circle Glimmer Plates set and my Glimmer Hot Foil Machine before cutting it out with the coordinating Essential Circles dies and adhering it to the card base with foam adhesive.
The sentiment is another fun one from the Shimmering Merry Christmas Sentiments Glimmer Plate set…after adding it to pink cardstock with Gold Hot Foil and my Glimmer, I die cut it out and popped it up on the bottom of my shaped card with foam adhesive.
I hope you enjoyed this cute reindeer card set and thanks so much for stopping by today. The Seasons Greetings, Deer die set is perfect for Christmas cards, gift boxes, and decor and available now in limited quantities!
